Trainee Catering Assistant/Kitchenhand

A Taupo-based catering company is seeking a fulltime, trainee catering assistant/kitchenhand for their business (Available 30+ hrs per week). No experience is required but you must have a genuine interest in food and learning how to cook, prepare meals, keep a tidy workspace etc, and a willingness to take instruction and work hard. You must also be willing and able to work well within a team - all working towards the same goal - providing excellent food for special events - weddings, birthdays, celebrations etc. Due to the nature of this role, you should be physically fit and healthy as you will be standing on your feet for long hours. You must be willing to chip in and help in general kitchenhand duties, cleaning and(eventually) deliveries as this is all part of the role. Immediate start for the right person. Job Requirements
Should have a genuine interest in cooking and willingness to learn and take instructions Must be able to work early starts - 7am and have reliable transport to achieve this Must pass Police check and drug test Must be physically fit and healthy and able to stand for long hours. Minimum Restricted License - must be able to take full driving test during first few months of work. Will consider anyone with a minor Police history on case by case basis
