Rubbish Collection Truck Driver

We are seeking a full-time Class 2 Truck Driver to safely and efficiently operate a rubbish collection vehicle for the collection, transportation, and disposal of waste and recycling materials, in line with company procedures and local authority guidelines.

Key Responsibilities - Drive and operate a rubbish collection or recycling vehicle along designated routes - Collect household, commercial, or industrial waste and recyclables from bins, skips, or collection points - Ensure all loads are safely secured and transported to disposal or recycling facilities - Carry out daily vehicle checks including oil, water, tyres, brakes, and general condition - Report any defects or maintenance issues promptly - Adhere to all health & safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies - Work closely with loaders and crew members to ensure efficient and timely collections - Maintain accurate records of collection times, volumes, and vehicle usage - Provide courteous, professional service to members of the public and handle queries appropriately - Keep the vehicle clean and tidy at all times

- Valid and clean Class 2 Driver Licence - Experience operating refuse collection or commercial vehicles (desirable but not essential) - Good knowledge of local roads and routes - Ability to follow schedules and work with minimal supervision - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Physically fit and capable of outdoor work in all weather conditions - Willingness to start early mornings and work occasional weekends or public holidays - Role may involve repetitive lifting and walking
