General Orchard Worker - Kiwifruit - Te Puke

We are seeking General Orchard Workers to carry out a range of seasonal kiwifruit orchard tasks in the Bay of Plenty: Te Puke is central point, other areas include Maungatawa Lane, No 3 road, Paengaroa, Rangiuru.
This is practical, outdoor work that forms part of normal orchard operations throughout the season. Duties may include, but are not limited to: Kiwifruit pruning (winter and summer), Tying down canes and vine training, Thinning and general fruit preparation, Girdling and other seasonal orchard tasks, General orchard maintenance and clean-up, Harvest preparation as required Training will be provided for all tasks.
This is a Fixed-term / Seasonal Contract, starting mid Jan 2026.
No previous orchard experience required – full training provided. Monday to Saturday, 7am – 5pm (weather and crop dependent). Minimum 30 hours per week, typically 45–50 hours during peak season. Start and finish times may vary depending on orchard requirements and weather conditions.

Job Requirements
1- be FIT and HEALTHY and able to perform manual work for extended periods- Able to work on your feet for long hours for the physical tasks involved. 2- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions 3- Be drug free to pass pre-employment and random testing 4- Having your own transport and a minimum of Restricted Driver licence to get to workplace is essential - there is no transport provided. 5- Have an updated CV that contains your correct contact details and any previous relevant experience.
Applicants will also be reliable, have good attendance and punctuality, able to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Being Health and safety conscious is essential.
