Farm Assistant
About this job
This farm is located in and around Taupiri. They are milking a herd of 900 cows on a 230 hectare farm property. The milking will be done in a Rotary 50 bale shed. Your duties will be milking cows. Setting up break fences. Identifying and treating mastitis cases. Tractor driving and feeding out. Calving and calf rearing. Heat detection. Recording animal health details. Daily farm maintenance. Compliance with Health & Safety standards.
Job Requirements
Must pass a drug test Mut pass a MOJ check. No criminal convictions Must have a full drivers licence and own transport Must live on the farm property . Shared accommodation available No pets Experience required ( 6 months -2 years )
- Days of work
- 11 days on and 3 days off between 4.00am and 5.00pm (30 hours per week)
