A 4-star Hotel is currently looking for a Junior Commis Chef to support the busy hotel kitchen team. This role is responsible for the food preparation, production and assisting in the implementation of menus which are designed to deliver innovative, safe food meeting market/customer needs. Our ideal candidate has a high degree of self-motivation and capability to work on their own with a variety of tasks including preparation of night room service menu items, food preparation for the following day, setting up breakfast buffet and cleaning the kitchen thoroughly
• Working in the kitchen service operations for the restaurant, room service and conference on a day-to-day basis so that they run efficiently and productively • Produce food in line with kitchen recipes and standards in preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are established and monitored to meet Brand Standard guidelines and maintained at that level. Work with the kitchen team members and take corrective action where appropriate, and within company guidelines, if standards are not met or issues arise. • Encourage and support kitchen hands or assist with cleaning processes for the Kitchen to a high standard in the absence of a kitchen hand. • Support Chef de Parties with preparing and cooking all food orders with a sense of urgency. • Ensure all food is stored and handled as per current food health and hygiene regulations. • Ensure that work area, equipment and section are kept clean at all times, in accordance with current health and hygiene regulations • Meet and exceed guest expectations, enabling the Food & Beverage operation of the hotel to be recognised as a purveyor of consistent, quality and value-for-money cuisine.

Job Requirements
• In addition to a great attitude, you will need the passion for working in a kitchen and ensuring food hygiene practices and standards are maintained. Due to the amount of manual handling, you must be physically fit, enjoy cleaning, reliable and able to work late. • Must Pass MOJ & Police Check • Able to work hours available • Resilience/ Honesty/Adaptable/Punctual/ always striving for 110% • Willingness & Enthusiasm to learn new skills and technic
