Class 5 Truck Drivers

The employer is seeking an experienced Class 5 Truck Driver with a DG endorsement to join their team based in Penrose, Auckland. Drivers will be responsible for completing scheduled long-distance deliveries across the Auckland Metro and throughout the North Island, with occasional travel to the South Island. Duties Involves: - Operating truck and trailer units, including B-Trains with manual 18-speed Road ranger gearboxes, and safely loading, securing, and unloading cargo in compliance with safety standards. - Driving Truck for day/night shift and maintain Logbook as per NZTA requirements. - Adhere strictly to Health & Safety policies and regulatory compliance standards. - Conduct basic vehicle inspections and mechanical checks, reporting any faults promptly. - Operating fork lift and hoist - Perform occasional manual lifting tasks as required
Following long-distance travel, employees are provided with 2 to 3 days off, depending on the duration of their travel and time on the road.
Job Requirements
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record • Valid Dangerous Goods (DG) endorsement • Valid Fork-hoist endorsement and OSH certification • Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating truck and trailer units and B-Trains, including reversing complex combinations • Mechanical knowledge (advantageous but not mandatory) • Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including weekends • Strong time management skills, reliability, and the ability to work unsupervised • Must pass MOJ and Drug tests. • Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kgs.

- The role starts at 7:00 am, with finishing times dependent on job. Monday to Friday, with weekend if required. (45 hours per week)
