Packhouse Workers - 7 month contract

A Riwaka Orchard requires staff for their Motueka Apple Packhouse for the harvest season which runs from 11 March to 11 October. Packhouse Duties: • To grade fruit that ensures the best presentation for local and export markets. • To pack fruit to customer requirements with no rejects. • To perform stacking duties effectively to ensure no collapse or crushed boxes. • To perform palletisation tasks to ensure shipped product does not shift during voyages to customers. • To undertake maintenance and cleaning duties to maintain the company’s and the industry’s exporting standards. Hours may vary due to seasonal demand and production schedules.

Job Requirements
Physical Requirements • This role involves repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, manual handling, lifting, bending, and working at pace in a production environment. Other Requirements: • You must be reliable. • Full training will be provided • You must have your own reliable transport
Criminal convictions considered. You must be reasonably fit and very reliable.
