Utility Arborist

Join our high performing Utility Arborists to complete our contract obligations with an ever-changing Arboriculture industry where there is always a need for experienced Utility Arborists to join our Christchurch team. Making communities safer for people to live, work and play in - keeping the lights on and trees trimmed away from power lines. You will be a key member of the Utilities team ensuring the maintenance of trees around electricity is completed to Treetech's high standards, while exceeding clients' expectations. Duties include removing tree branches and woody vegetation that is in proximity of lines or electrical assets through pruning, rigging, and felling. Arborist will also use climbing techniques, climbing systems and mechanized equipment such as MEWPs to work at heights in urban, rural, and off-road locations. What you will bring to the team as a Qualified Utility Arborist: • Proven track record as a capable Utility Arborist (minimum 2 years’ experience) • The equivalent of an NZQA Level 3 Arboriculture qualification. • Experience is using elevated work platforms (EWP) near powerlines • Prior climbing experience would be advantageous • Commitment to Health & Safety regulations • Enthusiastic and professional attitude in all interactions • Have the ability to work in a team and independently when required • Excellent attention to detail and high work ethic • A positive attitude, honesty & reliability • Be environmentally aware Able to pass MOJ & Police check Able to pass pre-employment drug test
