An employer based in Gisborne is seeking experienced Mobile Plant Operators (Tractor Operators) to support agricultural and field operations.
Key Responsibilities: Operate tractors and mobile plant equipment safely and efficiently. Perform mowing, cultivating, fertilizing, and other field operations. Monitor crop and plant conditions and report any issues. Operate and maintain irrigation systems, including sprinklers and drip irrigation. Monitor water availability and usage through telemetry systems. Carry out irrigation maintenance, including cleaning filters and maintaining pumps. Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of machinery and equipment. Comply with all health, safety, and environmental requirement.

Job Requirements
Proven experience in operating and connecting tractor attachments, including rotary hoe, mulcher, and ripper. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and address basic equipment issues. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Flexible and willing to work varying hours to meet operational needs. Strong understanding of health and safety procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Must hold Class 1 Full driving licence.
- Days of work
- Monday-Friday, weekends weather dependant, (more hours required at harvest) and other busy times. (40 hours per week)
