Dairy Farm Assistants

We are looking for someone who has passion for farming and hard- working to join our team based in Mangakino, 50 minutes from Rotorua. You will be working with a great team with lot of experience. We milk 860 cows through a 44 bale Rotary shed on milking platform of 297 hectares of rolling to steep farmland with 175 hectares of drystock. Your role includes but not limited to: milking cows efficiently , animal health and fencing and other general farm maintenance, understanding the environment and regulations around effluent, feeding to the stock and weed control, assisting with calving and keeping the farm tidy and record keeping. Applicants must be able to operate both 2 and 4 - wheel bikes and be able to follow on farm safety policies. You must perform good health, safety and wellbeing on farm, record accidents and identify farm hazards. You are Guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours/week roster 11 days on and 3 off. Accommodation is available on farm in share with other staff member and strictly no pets allowed. Pre employment and random drug testing will be conducted.
