A Porirua Business is looking for a Leading Hand. You will take charge of a small team delivering high-quality concrete and precast works.
You’ll plan, set out, and lead daily activities while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
You will be based in Wellington region but may also be required to work in Manawatu-Whanganui, Nelson-Tasman, Marlborough, West Coast, Southland, Otago and Canterbury.
This is a full-time permanent role working 44-56 hours per week.
Duties include:
• Lead and motivate a crew of 3–5 people in formwork and concrete construction • Organise daily tasks, materials, and plant to meet programme requirements • Carry out set out and ensure work aligns with design plans and specifications • Supervise formwork shutter building and precast operations • Maintain accurate records and communicate clearly with site leadership • Champion health, safety, and environmental compliance on site

Job Requirements
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in formwork and concrete construction is a must! • Proven ability to lead teams in a precast facility and on site • Skilled in reading and interpreting design plans and specifications • Trade certification in concrete construction (advantageous) • Class 1 driver licence and W endorsement preferred • Strong commitment to health and safety and practical problem-solving • Pass both Drug Test and MOJ
