About The Role As part of a supportive team, you’ll help clients live as independently as possible in their homes and communities. You’ll support them to achieve their goals through practical and emotional care, following individual care plans.

Duties May Include: • Meal preparation • Supporting community outings and social connection • Medication administration • Personal cares (showering, toileting, etc.) • Home management

About You • A genuine desire to support and help others • Previous care or healthcare experience is beneficial but not essential • Strong communication skills • Healthcare qualifications are an advantage • Most roles require a full NZ driver’s licence and reliable transport

Job Requirements

• NZQA Health & Wellbeing Level 2 preferred (support available to obtain) • Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice check • Full driver licence and reliable transport • Understanding of the disability, home and community sector, including Health & Safety and sector standards • Knowledge of the HDC Disability Rights Code • Community experience is an advantage; a genuine, empathetic approach and strong boundaries are essential (training provided) • Good numeracy and literacy skills

Days of work
Monday to Friday, 8am – 12am, (availability for casual Sunday work would be an advantage). (12 hours per week)
Pay Details
$23.97 - $29.68 p/hr depending on experience and qualifications
