Inwards Goods / Retail Sales Team Member (January start)

One of Taupo's leading outdoor gear stores for is on the lookout for a motivated and customer-focused all-rounder to join their close-knit team. The successful candidate will support store operations by receiving, checking, and processing incoming stock. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate inventory control and smooth product flow from delivery to the shop floor. They will also help in the store and be responsible for helping with sales, and maintaining a welcoming and well-presented store environment. Training will be provided. Applicants must flexible to work weekends as well as weekdays and public holidays. There is a rotating roster for weekend work. Hours are 40-45 per week (av. 42). Wages are $24-28 depending on skills and experience.

Skills & Experience Previous experience in retail, warehousing, or inwards goods preferred (training provided) Good attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to perform manual handling and lift safely (up to 25kgs) Basic computer or stock management system skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic numeracy and computer skills Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays Able to pass a MOJ check
