Class 5 Truck Driver

A transport solutions company is seeking experienced night shift Class 5 Truck Drivers to join their team.

Key Responsibilities - Operate trucks on assigned transport routes in accordance with business requirements. - Inspect and ensure all loads are secure and in good condition prior to each trip. - Comply with all safety protocols during loading, unloading, and transportation. - Maintain accurate records of goods transported and verify invoices. - Plan efficient delivery routes to meet deadlines. - Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups promptly. - Track and log driving hours, rest periods, mileage, and fuel/toll receipts. - Apply fuel-saving techniques to support business sustainability goals. - Report any equipment or mechanical issues immediately. - Document and report any accidents or incidents encountered during transport. - Maintain vehicle cleanliness, including windows, windshields, mirrors, and interior, ensuring it remains tidy and free of debris.

- Relevant truck driving experience preferred, but not mandatory. - Valid Class 5 NZ Driver’s License or an equivalent overseas heavy truck license. - Dangerous Goods and Forklift endorsements are advantageous. - Capable of unloading and reloading trailers using a pallet jack or manually when necessary. - Clean driving record and criminal history. - Must pass drug and alcohol screening. - Flexibility to work night shifts - Must be available Monday through Sunday - Must be able to be away from home for 2 nights per week
