Support Worker - Napier

Are you looking to make a real difference in your community? We are currently looking for empathetic and passionate Support Worker in Napier to work across our different services including Community & Rehabilitation, Disability and Social Services.
What does a Support Worker do? As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:
• Meal preparation • Community outings and integration • Giving medication • Personal cares (showering, toileting etc) • Home management

You will earn between $23.97 - $29.68 per hour, depending on experience and qualification. Job Requirements
- We can assist with the NZQA Certificate in Health & Wellbeing Level 2 if you don't already have one. - Can pass a Ministry of Justice check - Full driver licence and own transport - Knowledge and understanding of the disability, home and community sector, Health & Safety legislation and the relevant Sector Standards. - A working understanding of the responsibilities and requirements of the HDC Disability Rights Act - Experience working in the community is advantageous, but a desire to work with people, have the ability to set and maintain clear boundaries and to work with enthusiasm and empathy is equally important. Training will be provided - Practical numeracy and literacy skills

- Monday to Friday; alternative weekends 7 am to 11 am & 4 pm to 7 pm (30 hours per week)
