We are looking for an energetic and motivated Support Worker for our Residential Houses in Wellington.

Your day will involve a range of responsibilities and could include:

Maintain the physical, social, spiritual and emotional health of each person using Te Whare Tapa Wha, a holistic model of care. To maintain accurate financial records and monitoring of personal/household spending in conjunction with the Service Delivery Manager and to assist with the end of month financial paperwork. Expected outcomes

This is a busy and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You’ll support people with various aspects of daily life and help them participate in the activities they enjoy, such as:

• Swimming, shopping, or community outings • Supporting with personal care and household tasks • Assisting with meals and daily routines • Teaching and encouraging independent living skills

You’ll be part of a dedicated team providing 24/7 support across rostered shifts — including potential overnight sleepovers (with additional allowances).

You will bring: • A genuine desire to support people to achieve their goals and grow their independence • Experience in a healthcare or disability support setting (preferred) • Confidence in working with people who have intellectual disabilities or complex needs • A Full NZ Driver Licence (essential) • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and overnight shifts • Creativity and initiative — someone who can think outside the box and bring positive energy to the team • Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness, valuing the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of the people we support • A clean criminal record

You will bring: • Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification or actively working towards the completion of Level 2. • Demonstrated competence and experience in the care of people with a disability. • Promote a culture of health and safety within the workforce, ensuring the effective implementation of all safety and risk management system • Confidence in working with people who have intellectual disabilities or complex needs • A Full NZ Driver Licence (essential) • Flexibility to work across mixed shifts • Creativity and initiative — someone who can think outside the box and bring positive energy to the team • Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness, valuing the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of the people we support • Pass a Ministry of Justice check
