Daily Tasks involved in the role: Provide all necessary assistance to assigned residents to meet their needs in relation to hygiene, nutrition, mobility and social interaction. Ensure the residents environment is maintained to a safe and sanitary standard. Participate in the implementation of the facilities policies, procedures, standards and quality improvement activities. Good communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to work under unsupervised and as part of a team. Empathy with those you are working with. Respect for the elderly as a group and as individuals. You support residents with dementia through daily tasks like memory prompts, personal care, medication assistance, meal support, and ensuring safety and comfort.
Job Requirements
Dementia experience is desirable. At least one year experience required. Available to work Monday-Sunday AM, PM, Nights and Weekend shifts. Needing someone who has some experience in Aged Care. This can be a physically demanding role, you will need to be physically fit for practical duties. Must be able to pass an MOJ check and a drug test.
