Orchard worker

Orchard workers are sought for our Opotiki orchards. These roles do require a good level of fitness as you will be standing for long periods of time and working at shoulder height and above. In picking, you wear a picking bin/basket which can hold up to 25kg of fruit and work quickly in doing so. For Health & Safety purposes, closed toe footwear e.g. gumboots etc. must be worn at all times. As work is weather dependent, availability to work weekends is necessary. A pre-employment drug test must be passed. Opportunities for ongoing employment up to Dec '26 for the right workers.
Job Requirements
Fit and healthy Able to stand and work for long periods of time Carry up to 25kg of fruit in the picking bags Pass pre-employment drug test Some minor criminal convictions considered No gang influences
