Builder's Labourer

Builder’s Labourers – Immediate Start We are seeking Builder’s Labourers for an immediate start to support orchard shelter construction projects. Relevant experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training can be provided. Work is based in Te Puke, Opotiki, Katikati etc plus at times outside of Bay of Plenty.

Key Duties: • Assist with the construction and maintenance of orchard shelter structures, including full canopy covers, frames, and protective installations • Perform general building, repair, and maintenance duties in line with handyman tasks • Operate and maintain machinery and tools such as compact track loaders, power tools, and lifting equipment safely and efficiently • Work at heights (typically 5–6 metres) using approved safety equipment and in accordance with health and safety procedures • Install support posts, frames, and cover materials according to project specifications and supervisor instructions • Carry out ground preparation and site maintenance, including clearing and levelling • Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials and tools across worksites • Inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation

What We’re Looking For: • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety • Able to follow instructions accurately • Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour

-Relevant experience is preferred but not mandatory -Available to work on weekends -Physically fit to perform manual tasks -Comfortable to work at heights, typically 5–6 metres High -Able to travel within the region - the cost of travel and fuel will be covered by the employer - Able to pass pre employment drug testing -Own vehicle and FULL class 1 to drive business vehicles
