Front of House Team Member

A Mt Eden based fast food restaurant is seeking 2 Front of House team members to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

The restaurant serves gourmet-style burgers made fresh to order.

Duties include: • Greeting customers confidently and professionally before taking their orders, serving items, and cleaning away utensils. • Understanding all food and beverage items on the menu and being able to explain particular products to customers and offer personalised recommendations. • Determining customer requirements and advising on product range, price, and delivery. • Accepting payment for goods and services by a variety of payment methods and preparing sales invoices assisting with the ongoing management of stock, such as product inventories and participating in stocktakes stacking and displaying goods for sale, and wrapping and packing goods sold • Comply with the venue’s standards when producing and dispensing food and beverage products. • Communicate any issues or incidents to management. • Follow established policies, procedures, guidelines, and manuals to ensure compliance, safety, and profitability. • Provide assistance and support to colleagues and other departments as required

Must have 1 year experience in customer service within the hospitality industry

Must hold a full Class 1 driver's licence or a valid international driving licence approved for driving in New Zealand

Own transport is not required, as a company vehicle will be provided for deliveries. Applicants must, however, be able to reliably travel to and from work

Be physically fit, with the ability to manually lift up to 25kg

Able to stand for long periods and perform frequent movement throughout the store

Basic proficiency in written and spoken English

Able to perform basic mathematical calculations for cash handling and transactions

Be flexible to work across all shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
