Roofer Assistant

A Tauriko-based employer is currently seeking a reliable and motivated full-time Roofer Assistant to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of industrial and commercial projects, supporting the installation of high-quality long-run iron roofing systems.

Key duties include: • Assisting with the installation of long-run iron roofing on industrial and commercial buildings • Fitting and securing flashings, spouting, downpipes, and guttering systems • Handling materials, tools, and equipment required for roofing tasks • Supporting qualified roofers to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard • Maintaining clean and organised work areas, both on-site and in storage spaces

- Must be reliable, physically fit. - Experience in roofing or construction is preferred - Own transport to get to work with minimum Restricted driver license. - Ability and confidence to work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and access equipment - Attention to detail and a commitment to safety - Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment - Have a positive attitude to learn new skills, trustworthy, honest. - Able to follow instructions, adhere to health and safety guidelines. - Must be able to pass drug test and MOJ check, no criminal convictions,
