Truck driver

A Wellington employer is seeking a reliable truck driver to plan delivery schedules, operate trucks safely on designated routes, and handle loading and unloading (including manual lifting and forklift operation). The role involves transporting fragile and heavy goods with care, supervising product handling, maintaining accurate delivery records, collecting customer confirmations, and performing daily vehicle inspections. The driver must report any maintenance issues and comply with all traffic laws, company policies, and health & safety standards.
Job Requirements
• Safe operation of trucks on designated routes (Class 1,2,3,4 and 5 Full License required). • Dangerous Goods and/or Forklift certification preferred; candidate must obtain these themselves if not already held. • Must be able to start work at 3am. • Ability to perform manual lifting and handle fragile or heavy goods carefully. • Strong recordkeeping skills and ability to conduct daily vehicle inspections. • Knowledge of traffic laws, company policies, and health & safety standards. • Promptly report any defects or maintenance needs. • Must pass an MOJ background check with no previous convictions. • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
