Support Person – Hoon Hay - Bishopdale.
We’re looking for a caring, motivated Vocational Support Person to assist individuals with daily routines, community activities, and personal development.
Key Responsibilities • Support daily programs, community, and work placements. • Assist with cleaning, laundry, meals, and medication administration. • Maintain communication diaries and share insights with the team. • Supervise small groups and follow behaviour plans. • Participate in physical activities, including swimming. • (Level 4) Attend planning meetings, track goal progress, complete van checks, and mentor new staff. • Assist with communication goals and use of communication equipment.

Job Requirements
• Able to pass a Ministry of Justice check. • Full Class 1 driver’s licence. • Compassion for people with complex disabilities. • Flexible, proactive, and adaptable. • Positive, energetic, and motivated. • Strong teamwork and communication skills. • Physically able to perform personal care tasks (hoisting, toileting, etc.). • Committed to following policies and procedures. • Lived experience of disability an advantage (not essential).
