Automotive Mechanic

Exciting full-time opportunity for an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join a dynamic team in Onehunga, Auckland.

You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of family vehicles. The work includes everything from routine servicing to more complex mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic tasks. You’ll work closely with a small team, ensuring every vehicle that leaves our workshop is safe, compliant, and performing at its best.

You will be: • Performing scheduled servicing, general repairs, and full mechanical diagnostics. • Investigating issues using modern scan tools and diagnostic equipment. • Completing repairs on engines, suspension, brakes, cooling systems, electrics, and more. • Communicating findings clearly with the team and customers when required. • Maintaining accurate records of work performed and parts used. • Following all workshop safety procedures and contribute to a tidy, organised work environment.

• At least 2 years’ experience working as an automotive mechanic. A qualification in the field is a plus. • Solid knowledge across petrol, hybrid and/or diesel vehicles. • Experience with diagnostic tools and fault-finding. • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Must hold a restricted or full Class 1 driver’s licence (manual preferred) • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test & police check
