Healthcare Assistants. 6:45am to 3:15pm, Monday to Thursday. Different hours and shifts will be discussed and required as you progress through the programme.

During that time some of the things you will receive are: Wages paid at union rates. A full 3-day induction to welcome you as a temporary staff member. Hands on experience working within your departmental team. Daily catch ups with your programme peer support buddy for the first few weeks of your training Aspire education group training every Monday morning. A 2-day education workshop at the midpoint of the programme An opportunity for a new start and to develop highly desirable skills. An opportunity to learn about health industry roles at the hospital and out in the community. long term or permanent job opportunities at Health NZ and community partners to help work towards a healthier Hawke's Bay community. Clinical Cadets can complete their Career force Level 2 — Health and Wellbeing Start date: Wednesday 25th February 2026 MUST MEET ALL THE PRE-REQUISITES

• Be on a main MSD benefit. • Complete Criminal History Check online. https://www.justice.govt.nz/criminal-records/get-your-own/ • Be able to pass a drug test. • Have an updated C.V and Cover letter. • Provide 2 contactable references. • Be available to work anytime including weekends and morning, afternoon, or night shift for roles with rostered hours. • Have reliable transport to get to and from work. • Have a minimum restricted licence. • Be prepared to work full time at the end of the programme — 30 to 40 hours per week.
