Store Operations

Communicate regularly with Store Manager and Department Managers. Take full responsibility for ensuring the procedures for the Sale of Liquor, Tobacco and Lotto products are followed by you and other staff; and to ensure Fresh Choice Parklands is compliant in its License obligations at all times. Responsible for ensuring all shelf tickets and special tickets are accurate at all times and if not remedy problem immediately, either yourself or delegate to appropriate person. Make random checks on products for correct dates and rotation of products is done when stock is merchandised. To ensure all in store accidents regardless how minor are reported and documented immediately. Ensure Store is well presented and clean at all times; and stock is merchandised. Undertake Product Orders as directed or required. Undertake requirements and adhere to 5 Steps Food Hygiene Programme, Occupational Safety and Health, and Emergency procedures. To ensure that these procedures are in place at all times and staff observe such matters. To do Department Quality Checks and complete duty manager check list and report to Store Manager to rectify problems. Communicate to Department Managers any issues with quality and quantity of products. To ensure company reps and merchandisers follow strictly to the security procedures lay down by the company, with no exceptions. To report any machinery and equipment faults to Store Manager or take appropriate action where urgent action is required. Ensure the effective utilisation and productivity of personnel resources within the Supermarket and deal with areas of inefficiency immediately. To communicate information and instructions to the staff in the appropriate manner, as to create a willing and positive attitude. To ensure staff are adhering to security procedures and make certain that all operational procedures are met during your shift. To ensure that all staff strictly adheres to the Supermarket’s Policy & Procedure Manual at all times, without exception. This is an everyday discipline but paramount to the smooth running of the supermarket. To be aware and maintain a high level of security in the Supermarket at all times. To act in a manner to ensure the safety of all customers and staff. Identification of security risks and have an awareness of shoplifters and people loitering in and around the shop. To communicate on a regular basis with Store Manager regarding the operation and activity of the Supermarket, and to advise, without hesitation any major problems that effect the profitability and well being of the staff and the business.

Job Requirements

• NZ School of Food Hygiene certificate – 167/168 • Lotto Operator Certificate • General Managers Certificate • PC Literate • Security Training • First Aid Certificate • Knowledge of all in-store systems • Management Experience
