Sofa Tech is expanding and we’re looking for a motivated, reliable individual to join our Auckland team. We value attitude, honesty, reliability, and willingness to learn above all. About Us:
Sofa Tech is a 100% mobile furniture repair company specialising in sofa repairs, leather restoration, recolouring, and upholstery work. We service customers across NZ, including major retail chains and private clients.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on, mobile role perfect for someone starting their career. You’ll learn to carry out:
- Upholstery and leather repairs - Spot cleaning, stitching, and minor upholstery tasks - Part replacements and furniture rebuilding - On-site repairs at customer homes and businesses
You’ll manage your schedule through Tradify, communicate clearly with customers, and work independently across the region. Flexibility is required, with occasional work outside regular hours.
What We’re Looking For:
- Positive attitude, common sense, and strong work ethic - Basic power tool knowledge (helpful but not essential) - Able to work independently and travel daily
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer locations and complete professional repairs - Assess damages and submit repair reports daily - Maintain communication with the office - Use hand and power tools for repairs (training provided) - Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment - Follow all health and safety procedures - Keep accurate job records and deliver excellent customer service - Continue developing skills through training

Job Requirements
- Trade qualifications or furniture repair experience are a bonus but not required - Full, clean New Zealand Driver Licence - Be Physically fit (this role will require bending, lifting) - Strong customer service skills - Basic computer skills - Pass a MOJ check - Able to work across the Auckland region, occasional weekend work required - occasional on-call support to the Waikato region (when required notice would be provided in advance )

- Monday to Friday, regular hours 8:30am to 5pm, with flexibility required (to accommodate customer needs - generally 7am to 7pm). (35 hours per week)
