An airline catering company located in Auckland Airport Precinct are currently seeking an experience and qualified Butcher who has worked in high volume kitchens.
You will be responsible for: Meat Preparation & Cutting: Break down, trim, debone, and portion meat, poultry, and other items according to daily production needs. Follow exact portion specifications to support menu consistency and cost control. Operate knives and cutting equipment safely and effectively. Production outcomes - meet the on-time and to specification performance for your team's production. food safety and quality - ensuring all items produced meet the requirements of our food safety program and the customer's specification; Materials utilisation - ensuring that product wastage (from raw ingredient to finished item) is minimised and fully accounted for Health and safety - ensuring you adhere to our health and safety processes and actively involving yourself in health and safety management.

Job Requirements
-Previous experience as a butcher, meat cutter, or in a similar food-production environment (airline catering experience is a plus). Minimum of at least 2 years experience -Must have NZ Level 4 Trade cert in butchery -Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat cuts and processing techniques. -Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards (Food handling certificate NZQA 167 & 168) -Ability to work in a refrigerated environment and lift heavy items. Physically fit and able to be on your feet for long periods -Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production setting. -Ability to follow instructions, recipes, and portioning requirements accurately. -Ability to work rostered shift hours (Mon to Sun) and weekends on a 5 day roster. -Must have full driving license and own transport due to airport location -Great communication skills in both written and spoken English. -Have a clean MOJ/ Police record due to Airport location (No Convictions) -Contactable work references
