Packaging Operator

SOUTHLAND/BALCLUTHA: Our local employer is looking for a Full-time Packaging Operator to join our team in Balclutha factory.

The successful applicant will be physically fit and able to lift 25kg.

Must be able to work 12 hours shifts - 4 on 4 off – 2-day shifts x 12 hours, 2-night shifts x 12 hours, 4 days off.

Forklift licence beneficial but not essential.

Duties include but are not limited to: • Operating, Maintaining, and monitoring machinery in the plant Packaging and preparing product to ship. • Setting up, checking, and running automated production machinery. • Performing quality checks to ensure production meets world class standards. • Running machine diagnostics and problem solving. • Ensuring documentation is correct and complete.

You must have the below prerequisites to be considered for this role: • Be physically fit and able to lift 25kg • Have a recent CV with contactable references • Have the following Behavioural Skills: Clear communicator - Collaborator Desire to learn and grow - Methodical and detail orientated • Be competent with machinery operation ideally in a food environment and a strong mechanical aptitude • Be confident to use modern technology such as touch screen machinery. • You must be willing to work and turn up when required • You must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug/Medical and Alcohol test as part of the employment screening process. • Employer is willing to consider someone with some minor criminal convictions (no theft or dishonesty related convictions).
