The newly refurbished hotel in Hanmer Springs, just an hour away from Christchurch, is looking for a Houseman/woman This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our property. The Houseman will handle heavy-duty tasks and assist with room upkeep to ensure a comfortable environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry and transport large items such as linen bags, furniture, and equipment. Assist with room cleaning and general housekeeping duties. Support the housekeeping team with setup and breakdown tasks. Maintain cleanliness in public areas and back-of-house spaces. Respond promptly to guest and staff requests for assistance.
Job Requirements
Physically fit and able to lift heavy items safely. Previous experience in housekeeping or similar roles preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Good communication and teamwork skills.
