About this job

We are seeking an experienced, professional, and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our guests. The successful candidate will deliver excellent customer service, manage front desk operations efficiently, and contribute to a positive guest experience throughout their stay.

Greet guests warmly and manage check-ins and check-outs in a timely and professional manner Handle reservations, bookings, cancellations, and room allocations using hotel property management systems Process payments, invoices, and refunds accurately Respond to guest enquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and effectively Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to ensure smooth daily operations Maintain accurate guest records and cash handling procedures Answer phone calls, emails, and online enquiries promptly and professionally Promote hotel services, amenities, and local attractions Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health and safety standards, and security procedures

Job Requirements

Proven customer service and communication skills Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities Excellent organisational and time-management skills Professional presentation and attention to detail Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment High level of reliability, discretion, and integrity

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hotel or hospitality reception role Proficiency with hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera, RMS, Cloudbeds, or similar) Confidence with cash handling and EFTPOS systems Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays Relevant hospitality qualifications are an advantage
