Key Responsibilities: - Operate a range of construction machinery and equipment such as excavators, loaders, rollers, and graders with care and precision. - Assist with the safe movement and placement of materials, ensuring efficient loading, unloading, and transportation on-site. - Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment before and after operation according to company procedures. - Contribute to site preparation, earthworks, road construction, and civil infrastructure installation as directed by the team leader or supervisor. - Adhere strictly to all health and safety procedures, reporting any hazards or incidents immediately. - Collaborate with colleagues and support the wider team to achieve project goals efficiently and professionally. - Undertake general labouring tasks where required to ensure the smooth operation of each worksite.

Skills & Experience: - Previous experience operating heavy construction machinery, such as excavators, rollers, or similar plant, is essential. - Understanding of health and safety requirements specific to civil construction sites. - Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and carry out physical work. - Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and a positive, can-do attitude. - Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the willingness to learn and develop new competencies. - A full New Zealand driver’s licence is essential; WTR endorsements and NZQA qualifications are an advantage, but training can be provided for the right candidate.

- Pass pre-employment drug & medical tests - Full class one license with reliable transport to work - Convictions will be considered on a case by case basis except driving related charges - Strong communication skills - Up to date presentable CV and two contactable references - Reliable - Strong work ethic - Relevant qualification and or direct transferable skills and experience
