Truck Driver

Transport Operations: Drive Class 4/5 heavy trucks; manoeuvre vehicles for safe loading/unloading; ensure weight distribution and secure goods; check load condition; keep records and verify invoices. Vehicle Maintenance & Safety: Conduct routine checks; perform basic mechanical inspections; report issues; understand truck mechanics; pass company induction; follow emergency procedures; maintain high health, safety, and compliance standards. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain logbooks; verify loading documents; obtain delivery certifications; follow transport laws and industry regulations. Work Conditions: Available for early mornings, late evenings, weekends; willing to travel long distances and stay overnight; work rotating shifts; NZ truck driving experience preferred.

• Mandatory Class 4 and/or Class 5 NZ Driver Licence (or equivalent overseas licence eligible for conversion). • Proven experience in operating long-haul and overnight transport runs. • Willingness to work variable schedules, including overnight stays, late-night dispatches, weekend shifts, and public holidays as needed. • Clean driving and criminal record (police vetting required). • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. • Mechanical aptitude to carry out basic vehicle troubleshooting and safety checks. • Able to work in rural and remote locations with limited-service access. • Ability to lift heavy goods and manage physical tasks (up to 25 kg). • Strong GPS and route navigation skills, with flexibility to adapt to real-time traffic and road conditions. • Sound understanding of transport compliance, logbooks, and chain of responsibility requirements.
