Labourer/Operator

A Waiwhakaiho employer are seeking a hardworking and reliable Labourer to join their team in the construction of civil road projects.
In this role, the Labourer will play an essential part in assisting with day-to-day operations on construction sites, contributing to the development and maintenance of road infrastructure. The successful candidate must be able to follow instructions effectively.
They are interested in hearing from applicants who have:
• A full Class 1 licence (Class 2 preferred) • Some experience with diggers or rollers – WTR is an advantage • An eagerness to learn, or experience in, kerb and channel concreting
To apply, candidates must have:
• Proven experience in a labour-intensive role, preferably in civil construction or roading • The ability to operate basic construction machinery and tools • Good physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour tasks • Knowledge of construction safety standards and a willingness to follow them • A strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability • The ability to work well in a team environment • The ability to follow instructions and learn new skills • A completed MOJ check and the ability to pass a drug test
