Sales Assistant

Hamilton based employer is looking for a passionate and energetic English and Mandarin speaking Retail Lead to join the team at the award-winning Tea Estate Boutique in Hamilton. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales in our high-end tea retail space. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of premium tea varieties and the ability to engage with our Mandarin-speaking customers in a warm and welcoming manner. At this company, they believe in building a team of all-rounders capable of working with and supporting other departments, including hospitality, events management, and tours. The successful candidate will need to be willing to work in other areas including in our internationally acclaimed Tea Room restaurant.

Minimum 2 years' experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably within the food and beverage or luxury goods sector

A bilingual individual who speaks English and Mandarin fluently, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with our Mandarin-speaking and general customers alike

Strong product knowledge and passion for premium teas and tea culture

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide a personalised shopping experience Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering high customer satisfaction Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends and public holidays
