Heavy Transport Fabricator/Welder

Local company currently require a skilled engineer/fabricator to join their busy team here in Invercargill. Work involves transport & general engineering, manufacturing & repairs in our well-equipped workshop. We design & manufacture transport, agricultural and general engineering equipment.
Looking for an experienced steel welder, if you are able to weld alloy as well this would be a bonus.
Must have NZ residency or current NZ work visa Remuneration is dependent on your level of skills & experience. Criminal convictions can be considered case by case (nothing serious) need to be transparent around this.
The business is busy, if you are suitable, the work can start immediately.
Job Requirements
- Hold a current welding ticket or have the ability to pass welding tests - Ability to understand & work from drawings - Skilled in welding both steel & alloy (steel is mandatory, alloy is a bonus) - Attention to detail & accuracy - Be reliable and punctual - Must have NZ residency or current NZ work visa
- Days of work
- Monday to Friday (occasional Saturday/Weekend work when required) (47.5 hours per week)
