Plasterboard Fixer

looking for a reliable Plasterboard Fixer to join our Christchurch team for residential and commercial projects. The role involves measuring, cutting, and installing plasterboard, insulation, and fittings. No formal qualifications required; prior experience preferred.

Full on-the-job training provided, No formal qualifications are required.

Duties include: - Determining plasterboard layout, and installing insulation and vapour barriers. - Measuring, marking, and cutting plasterboard; lifting and positioning panels; and securing them to walls, ceilings, studs, and battens. - Preparing corner beads and securing them in position. - Fixing precast cornices, panel mouldings, ceiling centres, and other plaster fittings. - Safe operation of hand and power tools. - Applying and fixing plasterboard partitions, suspended ceilings, fire-rating systems, acoustic tiles, and composite wall linings to buildings. - Following all health and safety procedures and instructions from supervisors.

- Drivers' Licence and own transport - Must be physically fit and able to carry out manual labour safely - Willing to work weekends or travel - Prior experience in construction is preferred but NOT mandatory - Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to follow instructions - Must be available to work weekends and commit to long hours when required to meet project deadlines - Some work may be outside Christchurch. Applicants must be willing to travel and stay away from home for 1–2 nights when required - Must be genuinely motivated and committed to work in the construction industry
