Builders Labourer/Carpenter

A Manurewa based construction company is seeking Builder/Carpenters to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

Duties include but are not limited to: • Renovation works. • Clearing the site, digging trenches and setting up the foundation for new builds • Helping with the setup of walls, floors and roofs by moving and positioning materials • Transporting construction materials such a wood, metal, studs and tools to the appropriate work areas, Carpenters, Electricians and other tradespeople • Assisting in the installation of beams, supports and other structures • Assisting Carpenters with the installation of door, window frames and stair parts • Putting on the outside parts of the building, such as the siding, trim and roof edges to finish the outer look • Removing old structures, walls, flooring and debris to prepare for the renovation • Assisting with adjustments to walls, doors and windows in existing structures. • Helping with minor repairs, replacing old flooring or assisting in restoring parts of the building • Assisting in tasks like installing new flooring, shelving and other finishing details to complete the renovation.

• 1-3 years’ experience as a Builder/Carpenter, candidates who have completed a building apprenticeship are welcome to apply. • Hold a full Class 1 driver licence with a reliable transport • Physically fit and drug-free, minor convictions may be considered on a case-by-case basis • Fluent in both written and verbal English for effective communication with the team and clients
