Automotive Technician / WOF Inspector

Exciting full-time opportunity for an experienced Automotive Technician/WOF Inspector to join a family-owned workshop in Onehunga, Auckland that has been in the industry for over 13 years. As an Automotive Technician/WOF Inspector, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality automotive repairs and servicing.

You will be: • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in petrol, diesel, and hybrid vehicles • Using diagnostic scan tools to detect and resolve performance issues • Performing hybrid battery diagnostics, servicing, and replacements • Carrying out routine servicing and general mechanical repairs • Ensuring all work meets safety standards and compliance • Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment • Engaging in regular toolbox meetings and following workshop procedures • Delivering professional customer service and clear communication • Carrying out WOF inspections

• At least 3 years of proven experience as a mechanic/technician • Full, clean NZ driver’s license • WOF Inspector qualifications or the ability to obtain the rating is highly desirable • Experience with hybrid vehicles and batteries is highly desirable • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage workload efficiently • Flexibility to work weekends or extended hours if needed • Criminal convictions will be considered on a case-by-case basis
