Cellar Door Host

Starting in early January, a local Winery is seeking to appoint a warm, bubbly person to join their cellar door team – welcoming guests and offering the very best tasting room experience.

From presenting a selection of wines and explaining the winemaking behind them, ensuring a clean, tidy and welcoming shopfront, and offering advice on local attractions to visiting guests.

While customer service is number one, other administration tasks will be required including stock control, money handling and banking, as well as cleaning and helping to maintain a tidy and cared for garden.

It is anticipated the successful applicant will have experience and a sound understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

We are not looking for a wine expert, just someone with a keen interest in wine who can then communicate the charm of winemaking to their valued customers. The successful applicant will be responsible for presenting the company, their wines and our region to very valued guests. And will - • Have a bright, charismatic personality • Have an uncompromising commitment to quality customer service • Be honest, with integrity and total reliability • Have a strong motivation and the ability to work unsupervised • Have impeccable organisation and the ability to take ownership of this role • Show great presentation skills • Have a keen interest in food and wine • Be physically able to carry a minimum of 20kg for restocking of wines • Have experience in the hospitality and/or retail industry

A duty managers certificate would also be an advantage.
