Truck Driver

Must be able to manoeuvre vehicles into position for loading and unloading. Late night driving may be required to facilitate the clients and deliveries loading and unloading vehicles using lifting and tipping devices Must be able to handle the freight effectively, timely and safely. Participate in all safety procedure Maintain, clean and tidy vehicles Taking care of safety measures while loading and unloading vehicles. Regularly check quality of vehicles to ensure they can be driven safely. Must be able to estimate the weight to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight in the vehicle. Ensuring goods are stowed and securely covered to prevent loss and damage Must be able to verify loading documents, checking condition of goods and obtaining certification of deliveries. Must have the ability to reverse vehicles confidently in tight spaces and provide a friendly and professional service upon delivery.

Must meet all other requirements including English language requirements as per Immigration New Zealand if required. Multilinguistic people will be given preference. Must be ready to travel and have full Driver’s License with relevant driving endorsements. Heavy lifting could be a part of the job. Must be physically fit, pre-employment medical and drug test will be a part of recruitment. Flexible with rostered working hours and should be able to work over the weekends.
