We are currently seeking permanent, full-time Support Workers to join our Nelson Residential Services team.

This is a diverse and rewarding role where no two days are the same. As a Support Worker, you’ll assist people with all aspects of daily living and help them work towards their goals. Your responsibilities may include: • Supporting people with personal care, meal preparation, and household management tasks • Encouraging participation in activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, shopping, or attending community events • Teaching life skills and promoting independence • Working collaboratively within a team providing 24/7 support across rostered shifts, including overnight and weekend work • Additional sleepover payments may apply for some shifts You’ll be part of a close-knit team helping individuals live full and meaningful lives. We are looking for people who are passionate about helping others and want to make a real difference in their community.

You will bring: - A Level 2 or higher Health & Wellbeing qualification, or equivalent (required) - Previous experience in a healthcare or disability support environment (preferred) - Experience supporting people with disabilities or challenging behaviours (advantageous) - A Full NZ Driver Licence (essential) - Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends - Initiative, energy, and a creative, solutions-focused mindset - Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness, recognising and valuing the diversity of the people we support

Job Requirements

We are looking for people who are passionate about helping others and want to make a real difference in their community.

You will bring: - A Level 2 or higher Health & Wellbeing qualification, or equivalent (required) - A Full NZ Driver Licence (essential) - can pass a Ministry of Justice check - Previous experience in a healthcare or disability support environment (preferred) - Experience supporting people with disabilities or challenging behaviours (advantageous) - Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends - Initiative, energy, and a creative, solutions-focused mindset be different to your own. Flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends. Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.

Days of work
Days will vary. Weekdays/Weekends 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm shifts. 64 hours per fortnight (32 hours per week)
