Trainee Electrician

Perfect role to kick starts your career as an electrician. This role is based around the Wider Auckland area. - Provide accurate and on-time job records and other information to the office in line with company procedures. - Install and maintain electrical equipment and heat pumps in accordance with plans, manuals, and correct practice. - Assess problems and repair or replace faulty electrical equipment or wiring. - Maintain and service electrical appliances (e.g., ranges, ovens, hobs, fans, heat fan lights, towel rails, and water heaters). - Connect and disconnect equipment for power testing. - Ensure safety in all electrical work and equipment. - Conduct new build electrical installations and switchboard/DB installations. - Install new earthing systems and solar installations, including DC, AC wiring runs, and inverter installations. - Keep records of problems found with electrical equipment and maintain general oversight of safety and good practice on all work sites.

To succeed in this role, you should have: - The ability to work under supervision and with other apprentices and workers. - Must have full class 1 licence and able to drive manual. - A customer focused attitude with a can-do approach. - Honesty and trustworthiness. - Pride in your work and a commitment to high-quality results. - Great interpersonal skills with colleagues and customers. - A clean, full New Zealand driver’s license (manual). - Clean police record. Qualifications/Experience Requirements - Basic knowledge of electrical trade or a Trainee Limited License as an electrical worker, or a willingness to achieve it for the right candidates. - Experience with residential construction wiring and maintenance work is an advantage but not essential. - Industrial maintenance experience is an advantage but not essential. - Must have NZ residency or a valid NZ open working visa. NOTE -you may need to wok outside Auckland, accommodation will be provided.
