Kiwifruit Orchard Supervisor

Full-time roles are available for Orchard Supervisors across multiple sites across the Bay of Plenty . Candidates with a knowledge of and desire to grow and develop in the Kiwifruit industry are invited to apply.
What responsibilities will you have: Plan, assign, and oversee daily tasks for orchard workers, ensuring activities are completed efficiently and meet quality standards. Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to staff. Organise and allocate labour resources. Ensure all required tools, and equipment are available, well-maintained, and safely operated. Monitor plant health, pest control, and disease management. Maintain accurate spray and fertiliser program records and ensure compliance with all horticultural best practices. Motivate, mentor, and train team members in orchard techniques such as pruning, thinning, harvesting, and vine management to improve efficiency and skill levels. Identify and resolve operational issues. Prepare and submit reports covering productivity, crop conditions, labour use, and any incidents. Ensure all staff adhere to company policies, health and safety standards, and regulatory compliance requirements. Liaise with stakeholders to ensure work progress aligns with operational goals.
Job Requirements
1- Minimum of 6 months recent orchard operations or horticultural experience required- Recent means within the last 5 years pls, and noted on your CV. 2- Minimum of 6 months previous Supervisory experience - noted on your CV. The employer is willing to further train the right candidates. 3- Have your own car to get to work across multiple sites across the Bay of Plenty. 4- Have a Full class 1 driver licence, to drive others and use Company Vehicles 5- be drug free in order to pass Pre and random testing 6- Consent to an MOJ check, and convictions will be considered - Apart from Assault and/or Dishonesty related convictions. 7- Be willing and able to work across all 7 days of the week.
