Packhouse Operations Manager

We’re looking for a Packhouse Operations Manager to lead safe, efficient, high-quality kiwifruit packing operations. This role works 11.5-hour day or night shifts (6:30am/pm) and includes one weekend day on a roster.

Requirements: • 1+ year kiwifruit production supervisory experience • Experience on MAF Roda or Compac systems • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

About the Role: • Lead daily packhouse operations and hit production, quality, and efficiency targets • Manage schedules, workflows, staff, and equipment • Ensure compliance with Zespri, GlobalGAP, food safety, and H&S standards • Drive continuous improvement and resolve operational issues • Lead and support supervisors, team leaders, and seasonal staff • Oversee training, performance, and team culture • Prepare production and labour reports and support budgeting

Strong leadership and people management skills in high-volume, seasonal environments. Operational planning, workflow management, and problem-solving expertise. Strong understanding of quality assurance, food safety, and compliance standards. Full driver license with own transport Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making abilities. Ability to perform under pressure during peak season demands.
