Employment Officer – Seasonal Kiwifruit Harvest & Packing (Jan–Oct 2026) We’re looking for an experienced Employment Officer to support our seasonal workforce for the 2026 kiwifruit season. This fixed-term role follows packhouse shift patterns (day or night, 11.5-hour shifts starting 6.30am/pm) and includes at least one weekend day on a roster. Minimum 3+ years’ experience in HR or Recruitment required.
Key Responsibilities: • Recruitment & Onboarding – Screen applicants, schedule interviews, complete agreements, visa/entitlement checks and inductions. • Workforce Coordination – Maintain rosters, manage shift changes, support timekeeping and allocate staff to roles. • Employment Relations – Provide support on policies, resolve basic issues, escalate to HR Manager as needed. • Compliance – Ensure all documentation meets NZ employment law; maintain accurate records. • Health & Safety – Support H&S induction, encourage safe practices, report incidents, assist with absenteeism. • Administration – Support payroll, manage staff communications, prepare daily/weekly reports.

Job Requirements
Previous experience in HR, recruitment, administration, or staff coordination. (Must have between 2-4 years exp). Strong communication and people skills. Good organisational and time-management abilities. Understanding of NZ employment law and workplace compliance requirements. Proficiency in MS Office or workforce management systems. Able to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment Drug free, no criminal convictions
