Class 5 Truck Driver

A logistic company is seeking reliable and safety-focused Class 5 Truck Drivers to join a busy transport operation based in Mangere. This role involves transporting goods across Auckland and surrounding areas, following scheduled routes, and ensuring timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

Drive heavy vehicles safely to transport goods efficiently

Plan and follow safe, time-efficient routes

Secure loads using straps, chains, or tarps

Assist with loading and unloading of goods

Check delivery paperwork to ensure correct quantities

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, tyres, lights, fluids)

Comply with NZ road laws, fatigue rules, and weight regulations

Report any mechanical issues promptly

Communicate delivery updates with dispatch and warehouse teams

Maintain professionalism and complete deliveries on schedule

Manage delays, route changes, and mechanical issues

Record and report incidents or accidents accurately

Valid NZ Class 5 full licence

Dangerous Goods (D) endorsement

6 months–2 years experience preferred

Must be physically fit (lifting, loading, long hours)

Able to work early mornings, nights, or weekends if required

Ability to follow safety procedures and handle manual tasks

Pre-employment drug test, Ministry of Justice check, and face-to-face interview required
