A reputable Traffic Management company is expanding into Invercargill and is looking to build a new local crew, to do this they need an experienced Team Leader to join their hardworking, safety-focused crew. Key Responsibilities • Lead and supervise Traffic Controllers across multiple sites • Set up, monitor, and pack down in line with industry standards • Ensure all safety protocols are followed at all times • Conduct toolbox talks, briefings, and site audits • Liaise with clients, contractors, and the public professionally • Complete site paperwork, incident reports, and daily records accurately • Mentor new staff and support ongoing training and development • Maintain equipment and ensure vehicles and signage are kept in good condition

Job Requirements
As a Traffic Control Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, ensuring all traffic management setups are implemented safely and efficiently. You’ll lead by example, support and guide your crew, and maintain strong communication with contractors, the public, and management.
About You • Proven experience in Traffic Control with leadership responsibilities • Calm temperament with natural de-escalation abilities • Current TMO or STMS qualification (or higher) • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Able to work early mornings, weekends, and in all weather conditions • Reliable, safety-conscious, and confident managing a team • Full NZ driver licence
