Fast Food Cook

- Prepare and cook menu items such as burgers, fries, and other fast-food products according to company recipes and quality standards

- Operate grills, fryers, kitchen equipment safely

- Prepare ingredients, sauces, condiments in advance to ensure smooth service during peak time

- Assemble and package meals accurately, ensuring correct portion sizes and presentation

- Take customer orders and ensure timely and accurate meal preparation

- Support front-of-house team members to maintain fast service and excellent customer satisfaction

- Maintain clean and organised work area, including food preparation surfaces, cooking equipment and storage areas

- Adhere strictly to food-safety standards, temperature controls and waste-management guidelines

- Follow closing procedures, daily cleaning schedules and assist in general kitchen organisation

- Receive and check deliveries, ensuring the quality and freshness of ingredients

- Rotate, store food items correctly to minimise waste

- Report shortages to supervisor

- Minimum 1 year or more of experience in a commercial kitchen, cafe, or fast-food environment strongly preferred

- Strong understanding of food-safety and hygiene regulations (NZQA Unit Standards or equivalent preferred)

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a team-based setting

- Good communication and time-management skills

- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required

- Must be able to get to work and back (own transport or walking distance to CBD ideal)
