A Wellington Employer is looking for a Class 5 Truck Driver to join their team based out of their Petone Branch.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and carrying out the transport of construction materials such as aggregate, asphalt, and other bulk products between worksites, quarries, and depots. You’ll do this by operating a variety of truck and trailer units, including those handling oversized loads.

You’ll also take pride in ensuring your vehicle is well-maintained, conducting routine checks, servicing, and keeping your truck in top-notch condition and presentation. You will be

• Entrusting trucks and equipment comply with all transport regulations (i.e. current RUC, COF, Rego) • Ensure all transport operations comply with road safety laws, company policies, and environmental requirements, including secure loading and transport of hazardous materials when necessary. • Monitor truck maintenance - keep accurate, timely and well organised records

Job Requirements

We’re looking for someone with:

• Current Class 5 licence • Wheels, Tracks and Rollers endorsements is a must • Dangerous Goods endorsement is advantageous • Relevant driving experience preferably with bulk haulage including aggregate, asphalt of similar • A safety-first attitude and a thorough understanding of road safety, vehicle compliance and an ability to follow all health and safety procedures. • Reliable and punctual with a proven commitment to on time deliveries and a strong work ethic. • Must be able to pass pre-employment MOJ check and Drug Test.
